SCOTT WRIGHT

Scott brings over 20 years of experience in the Landscape Architectural industry to the firm and heads up the L A West (Calgary) Inc. practice.

Identifying a market niche for a mid-sized landscape architectural firm specializing in community development and open space design, Scott incorporated L A West Calgary in 2006 to fill a void that existed in the Calgary landscape design industry. The reception to his vision has been extremely positive and LA West counts a significant cross section of local land development companies as well as several municipalities as their clients.

Scott has extensive working knowledge and experience with park planning within community development and has been involved in creating several long range design and policy documents for trail and open space systems. Over the past several years Scott has had the opportunity to work on a diverse scope of projects ranging from large urban design and multi-disciplinary projects to municipal, resort and golf development projects

The diversity of his project experience gives Scott the unique ability to see many creative solutions to design challenges. His clients have come to appreciate the straight forward, no nonsense approach Scott applies to project management. His honesty, integrity and unrelenting work ethic have garnered respect from clients and professional peers alike.

Leading by example, Scott is involved in and responsible for all facets of design including conceptual planning, master plan development, detailed construction documents, and project management.
